The American School Commons Project was a fast track refurbishment of the schools commons area to be completed over the summer recess period.

The works included internal strip out of mechanical and electrical services and structural alterations reconfiguring the Theatre Foyer, Commons and back of house areas. New mechanical and electrical services were installed adapting the existing system including a new Servery internal goods lift.

Other works involved the installation of a new acoustic ceiling to the main Commons area, reconfiguration of the back of house areas to provide new changing and welfare facilities and new bespoke joinery works.

“This is my first experience of working with ME Construction, and I hope it will be the first of many projects working together. They understand the partnership required in modern construction between Design Team, Client and Contractor. They have a structured organisational approach with clear systems of working, that give confidence in meeting deadlines. They bring solutions to the table, not problems. Throughout the project the whole ME Construction team clearly knew what they had to do, what level of quality, the right balance of time and delivery. And they carried it out with a positive attitude, with good communications, with a clear intent to focus on getting the project right for the client.” Ed Toovey, Architect.
