The project works involved the stripping out of an area on the 4th floor of the Lambeth Wing at St Thomas’ hospital with refurbishment to provide new offices, a laboratory and a freezer park.

The scope of works also included extensive alterations to the existing mechanical and electrical services in addition to the architectural / building works.

The methodology adopted for delivering this project was critical in terms of managing noise, liaison with the surrounding GSTT and KCL departments, and minimising the impact of the construction work on the surrounding areas of the hospital which remained fully operational throughout the course of the works.
