The gender segregation of works involved moving patients to a new area, working in tandem with the hospital staff, to convert 2 toilets and 2 shower rooms, adding an en-suite to a patient room, a new drug store/clean utility area and moving a 1 hour fire wall back to accommodate a new nurse base. Works involved fitting out new IPS panels and sanitary ware, moving medical gases and nurse call systems. In addition 2 wards were fitted out with new floors, decoration and double fire doors, with all works to be completed whilst the ward continued to be operational, in a 4 week window which was achieved.
